Dani Beckstrom is an American news anchor and meteorologist from Florida anchoring for KTNV- TV. She joined KTNV’s team of meteorologists in June 2019. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at Brigham Young University, she had the opportunity to travel the country as a member of the Brigham Young University cheer squad and intern in New York City in the lifestyle department at NY1.
After her graduation, she spent a year in eastern Idaho working as an anchor and reporter before moving back home to Boise to take over morning weather at KIVI while enrolling at Mississippi State University to get her meteorology certification. From Boise, she moved to Fort Myers, Florida to gain experience with both severe weather and tropical meteorology, and was a key part in keeping southwest Florida safe and informed when Hurricane Irma made landfall on Marco Island September 2017. She has experience in forecasting everything from blizzard conditions to deadly heat .
When the journalist is not at work, she can be found on the nearby hiking trails, laying by the pool with a good book, or taking advantage of the great food options that Las Vegas has to offer. She is a big sports fan too.
