Carol Jean Vogelman is the mother of Ed Asner’s son, Charles Edward Vogelman, born in 1987. In 1988, actor Ed Asner admitted to having fathered Charles was born out of wedlock and agreed to pay more than $2,100 a month in child support, according to the Deseret News.
