Brynn Cummings is an award-winning 12-year-old magician, ventriloquist and contestant on America’s Got Talent (AGT) 2023. She has appeared on the Penn and Teller tv special, “Try This as Home Too” on the CW, as well as given her own Ted Talk, called “How to Dream Like a 10 Year Old”.

According to her website, Brynn Cummings has been practicing magic and ventriloquism since the age of 8. After being inspired by seeing Darci Lynne on America’s Got Talent, she asked her parents for her first puppet.

Brynn won 1st place in the stage competition at the 82nd Annual Abbott’s Magic Get Together in the “Magic Capital of the World” Colon, MI at just 8 years old. She also won 1st place in the Junior Competition at the International Ventriloquist Convention (VentHaven) in 2022.

Brynn appeared on television in Penn and Teller’s special, “Try This at Home Too.” The episode aired on the CW in July of 2020 in which she was featured in two different segments for her magic.

Brynn delivered her own Ted Talk at TedXDetroit in November of 2021. She discussed “How to Dream Like a 10 Year Old”, where she performed some magic, as well as ventriloquism.

12-year-old Magician and Ventriloquist Brynn Cummings is a contestant on the 18th season of “America’s Got Talent” on NBC. Brynn will appear in front of judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel on June 13, 2023.

“I am SO EXCITED to announce that I will be appearing on THIS next Tuesday’s episode (June 13th) of America’s Got Talent,” Brynn said. “This is literally a dream come true! I cannot wait to share my audition with you all!”

The middle school student from Paw Paw, Michigan will be performing on NBC’s America’s Got Talent for a chance to win $1 million and a shot at stardom.

“So we had to send in a video, for like an audition. And they approved it, so then we had to write a script. And then we had to send in a video of the script, and then we flew out. Then we filmed it,” Cummings told WSJM. “Performing has really just been a thing that, I guess, has come easy. I used to do dance performances. I do a lot of acting like in plays and stuff. And then once I got into magic and ventriloquism, that’s mostly my main stage stuff now.”

Paw Paw schools shared details on a community watch party in support of Brynn saying, “The Paw Paw community is invited to attend a Watch Party at Red Arrow Ministries on June 13 from 8 – 10 p.m. We wish you the best of luck, Brynn!”
