Azán is the stage name for Alexandria Hyson-Stewart, an R&B artist based in Dallas. She is a contestant on the 24th season of NBC’s The Voice.
She calls herself a Creole Queen, determined to bring back “the new natural neo-soul/R&B sound.” She has her debut EP, “Beauty of Life.” It was released in late 2020, it features seven tracks. She released a music video earlier this year for one of those songs, “Stuck N Time.”
Earlier in 2020, Alexandria released a debut single called “K.M.O.” (Keep Moving On).

She has also worked as a wedding singer and says she has appeared in a number of theater productions in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She returned to acting earlier in 2023, appearing in a play called “Cursed” about breaking generational curses.
