Christie Brinkley‘s ex-husband Peter Cook is engaged to Alba Jancou. Cook proposed to Jancou on September 15, 2019, with a six-carat diamond ring in front of a church in Santorini, Greece after dating for a year.

“We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have found, in each other, our soulmate. We are looking forward to many years of wedded bliss!,” Cook said on the engagement in a statement to Page Six.

According to a source, Cook and Jancou “originally met two years ago at Le Bilboquet, but didn’t start dating until a year ago. They are planning a destination wedding in Europe.”

Jancou is the same age as his daughter with Brinkley, Sailor Brinkley Cook, who was just eliminated from ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” and appeared alongside her mother in the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Cook was previously married to his first wife Christie Brinkley and his second wife Suzanne Shaw. Cook and Brinkley married in 1996. They split in 2006 when he was caught having an affair with his 18-year-old office clerk Diana Bianchi. His second ex, Suzanne Shaw, accused him of having a “secret pathological predilection” for young women. They divorced in 2014 after two years of marriage. Cook shares daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook and adopted Brinkley’s son Jack, with ex-wife Brinkley.

Bonakdar is the founder and director of two self-titled galleries — one on West 21st Street in N.Y.C and another in Los Angeles. She founded her New York City gallery in 1994 and opened the Los Angeles space in 2018. In a 2014 interview, Bonakdar said her advice to aspiring art dealers was, “Be a gallerist rather than a dealer is a very important thing. Trust your instincts.” Jancou interned at her mother’s gallery during her junior year in college.

Jancou, who owns a gallery on Orchard Street, opened his first gallery in 1991. According to his website, “Since opening his first gallery in 1991, Marc Jancou has supported numerous contemporary art projects and artists at various stages in their careers. Through residency programs, solo exhibitions, gallery publications, and collaborations with creative organizations and institutions, he has been a key proponent in the development of both established and emerging artists alike.”
