Khanya Mkangisa is a South African television presenter and actress. She made her television debut at the age of 14 as a youth show presenter on YOTV. She worked with YOTV for three years. She studied at AFDA in Johannesburg, achieving a BA degree in motion pictures and television. As an actress, she is best known for her roles in the SABC1 series Forced Love, Zone 14 and Intersexions. As a presenter, she is well known for her work on various YOTV shows and the e.tv reality competition series Shield Teen No Sweat Dance Challenge.
She was cast in the starring role of Nonhle Minola in 2012, in the SABC1 mini-series Forced Love which – like uGugu no Andile – was part of the channel’s “Shakespeare in Mzansi” strand. The, originally entitled Goba Msenge is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, set in a contemporary South African setting.
She was featured in 2013, in the second period of the SABC1 Intersexions, showing up in five scenes – more than some other performing artist. She played the role of Nolitha in the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville, in 2015 and in October she joined Selimathunzi as a moderator, assuming control from Zizo Beda.
