Traci Wald Donat Biography – Traci Wald Donat Wiki
Traci Wald Donat is the daughter of Australian-American singer and actress Helen Reddy. She is a television director and a herbalist. As a herbalist, she wrote on the about section of her website, “I began my interest in plant medicines in high school, when I started working with an herbalist that helped me transform my health and change my life. Although my life took me to film school in college, and into advertising when my husband and I founded an advertising agency that had a successful 25-year run, my love of plants and their grip on me only intensified.
“We bought a weekend home in Cambria California, which came with a beautiful herb garden. Through tending that magical garden, I discovered biodynamic gardening. I watched the seasons change, composted, made friends with the garden devas, and delighted in the garden singing after a good rain. I fell in love with plants.
“But the biggest gift was when I by chance picked up a copy of a book by Susun Weed. I found my path. It was the beginning of my decades-long study and immersion into traditional folk medicine and herbalism. These simple, available, and time-tested plant medicines and recipes became my go-to. I have been making herbal remedies and brewing simples for my friends and family for years and have seen first hand the profound transformation that occurs with deep nourishment.”

What a ride! 🌊 I have not posted on Instagram for some time. With all the changes and upheaval in the world and in my own life, I have been called to spend more time taking personal action. Through all that I have been experiencing, it felt like Instagram posts would trivialize. During this hiatus I have taken a good hard look at my own shadow, my relationship to white supremacy and privilege and have tried to take accountability where necessary. So I have been digging deeper, finding areas of my life where I can be better, do better. Sometimes only quiet, listening and observation can get you there. So I have kept my mouth shut and my eyes and ears open. I can’t say why all of a sudden I am compelled to share so much, the journey surely continues , but there it is. So In the last few months I have closed the store, confronted my shadow, made chutney and jam, camped on our land in Washington and now feel ready to step out and be a little more visible again. This photo of me kind of sums it up. I am stepping out now with an open heart ready for the next chapter and challenges. I am currently in the process of raising money to expand the Simples brand and distribution, and designing a cabin that will take the place of the tent currently on our land ( I’ll post some pics on my story). I’m trying to maintain and grow my self awareness and make better choices everyday in the words that I use and the dollars I spend, and donate. ( no Amazon thank you). And I’m really excited to announce that my husband Lucas and I are restarting our agency Tiny Rebellion with a team of amazing, creative, and like minded souls. It’s interesting because finally at my age I am understanding more about myself. I am a maker. I am someone who needs to create things, whether it’s a herbal tonic business, a house, or a jar of sauerkraut. I need to create and birth tangible things constantly. So I am delighted to be in the company of such fine and mission based makers. You can follow our adventures and learn more about us @tiny.rebellion It feels good to be back.❤️ #simplestonics #drinkthewild #tinyrebellion #cantstoptherebellion #ifnotuswhoifnotnowwhen
