In April 2019 Thom started a food blog page known as bboxfood reigniting a passion for cooking, working with many internationally recognised brands and amassing a large and loyal following. His food caught so much attention that he was awarded TSC 2021 Social Media Influencer of the Year.

Thom now owns The Flintlock at Cheddleton, the same restaurant he started out at aged 17. He has since transformed it into a fine dining restaurant, which received 2 AA rosettes in the first year of trading.
