She announced the news on Instagram: “I’m one of the sewers on this year’s Great British Sewing Bee! Last year after two and a half years of sewing, I decided to apply thinking I’d never hear back, let alone get on the show. I was feeling lost and trapped in my corporate career, and wanted to do something that truly made me happy. It gave me the kick up the [backside] to quit my office job, put my all into my passion and right now I have NEVER been happier.

“The emotions, excitement and all the rest of it are HIGH. But mostly I’m feeling PROUD. It’s really scary to put ourselves out there sharing our love and passion for sewing and design, for people to judge – but I hope this means our art can bring you some of the joy it brings to us.
