Steve Castor born Stephen R. Castor is an American attorney and the chief investigative counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform under committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC).

Castor has served as counsel for Oversight for 14 years, and helped question witnesses during its probes of the attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi and into allegations the IRS was focusing on political targets during the Obama administration, according to NBC News.

Prior to working for Congress, he practiced commercial litigation in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., according to Steve Castor’s biography on the Federalist Society website.
