Sean Patrick McConnell Biography

Sean Patrick McConnell, also known as Mac Savage, is an Arizona resident and social media personality. McConnell, known as the ‘mullet streaker’ was arrested after he was reportedly caught streaking at the 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

McConnell was charged for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and failure to obey a lawful order from law enforcement, Scottsdale police spokesman Sgt. Aaron Bolin said.

McConnell, who was wearing just a Speedo-style swimsuit, allegedly jumped from the general admission bleachers on 16 and ran to the green before dancing with the flagstick. He circled around the stands to amp up the crowd, evaded an event official and ran through the secondary tunnel to the 17th hole and jumped into the water hazard.

He ignored commands by officers to immediately exit the water. He eventually complied and swam to the 18th hole where he was placed under arrest.

Before the tournament began, the police warned attendees to not swim in the water hazards.

“We actually did a public service announcement video on our YouTube and our social media channels about staying out of the water and why,” Scottsdale Police Officer Aaron Bolin told NBC Phoenix affiliate 12 News. “The water is reclaimed water. It’s not inherently dangerous, but it’s not meant for human consumption, and it’s not meant for humans to go into.

“And so we want the message to be clear that people need to stay out of the water for their own health. It’s also illegal.”

In the PSA, Scottsdale Fire Department Capt. Dave Folio said the water’s disgusting.

“Trust me, people, stay out of the water. It’s got pesticides. It’s got chemicals that runoff from the golf course.”

He is booked into Scottsdale City Jail and will be held in custody to see a judge within the next two days.
