Samantha Anderson is the daughter of Conchata Ferrell and Arnie Anderson. Arnie is a film industry sound-mixer. Ferrell is best known for her role as Berta the housekeeper on “Two and a Half Men,” for which she received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2005 and 2007 for supporting actress in a comedy series. She died on Oct. 12, 2020, following a cardiac arrest at a hospital in Sherman Oaks, CA, surrounded by family. According to Variety, she was hospitalized in May 2020 and spent more than four weeks in the intensive care unit (ICU), where she went into cardiac arrest at one point. She was relocated to a long-term treatment center, where she was on a respirator and dialysis.
Conchata Ferrell and Arnie Anderson married in 1986. Ferrell revealed to the Chicago Tribune in 1991, that it was their daughter Samantha Anderson, who actually asked them to tie the knot as a child. She said, “Arnie and I have been together 12 years, married five. We got married because [Samantha] asked us to.”
