Rosanna Gethin, full name Rosanna Clare Gethin, is a designer and maker of leather bags and accessories. She is the CEO and Founder of Rosanna Clare Leather Workshops. She has also appeared on the BBC TV programme ‘Money for Nothing’ where she transforms various textile items destined for landfill, into desirable products.
Rosanna has created a range of beautiful leather goods, including bags and accessories, by combining her love of leather with her passion to reduce waste and to re-use. Much of the leather that she uses has been discarded from the furniture industry, or is ‘upcycled’ from unwanted items such as leather jackets, whilst new leather is sustainably sourced from Italy, Spain or Belgium. All of Rosanna Clare’s leather bags, jewellery, homeware and gifts are handmade in her Essex studio near Colchester.
Rosanna also enjoys passing on her leather-crafting knowledge to others via workshops for individuals, groups, or corporate events, with clients including Soho House & Spotify.
Rosanna has also written a leather craft book called ‘Sew Luxe Leather’ comprising of 20 projects complete with step-by-step instructions, templates and detailed information on tools and suppliers to get students started in the craft. She also runs a leather repair service and takes on a variety of commissions.
After relocating from Surrey to North Essex in December 2022, Rosanna has proudly become a member of the Suffolk Craft Society and will take part in their prestigious annual exhibitions.
