Robbie Lorraine is an English chef and founder of Only Food and Courses in London. Based inside a classic British pub, the restaurant taps into food nostalgia, taking guests back to the 80s and 90s with his unique and entertaining take on British food and pop culture.

Robbie has over two decades of catering experience honed in diverse kitchen environments, including fine dining restaurants and high-end event catering like Roux Fine Dining and The Royal Ascot.

In 2017, he was the winner of FSM Executive Chef of The Year and won the best vegetarian dish at B&I (Business and Industry) Street Food Awards in 2018.

In 2020, Robbie launched ‘Only Food and Courses’ – his own pop up concept restaurant in Brixton, with a vision to disrupt expectations of fine dining. Following rave reviews, he has since taken his restaurant to a fixed site at the Cheshire Cheese pub on the Strand.

The London and South East heat will see Lorraine go head to head with chefs Brian Danclair, Ferdinand ‘Budgie’ Montoya and Avinash ‘Avi’ Shashidhara.

Posting on Instagram, the Only Food and Courses said: “Robbie is going to be back on your screens on @greatbritishmenu next week representing London and the South-East!

“Tune into BBC Two from 8 pm on Tuesday 7 March and show our boy some support. This year’s all about illustration and animation to celebrate 65 years of Paddington bear. “

In 2022 (series 17), he didn’t make it past the fish course. Following his elimination, Lorraine wrote on Instagram: “So you might have seen that I got to mix it up with some of the best chefs in London and South East this week in the [Great British Menu] kitchen and even though it wasn’t the result I was hoping for, I’m still super proud to have featured on the show, representing for #ldn.

“The talent in that kitchen was just mind-blowing. Huge congratulations to [Spencer Metzger] on the win, you absolutely smashed it out of the park mate and thank you to all the team involved behind the scenes who were super supportive throughout the process.”
