Prince Kaybee is a South African music producer, DJ, and television personality. He is also a Director at ‘LOW KEY RECORDS’. Kaybee came to the spotlight after he won the second season of the SABC1 reality competition 1’s and 2’s, in 2015.
Born Kabelo Motsamai was born on June 15, 1989, in Senekal, South Africa. He is from Senekal Town in South Africa. Kaybee dropped out of school in Grade 11. He moved to Bloemfontein Free State, South Africa, where he ended up getting a club DJ gig. In 2015, Kaybee joined the SABC1 reality competition 1’s and 2’s. He won the competition and thus getting a chance to start his career in house music production.
Kaybee has received several awards and nominations in his entertainment career. In 2016, Kaybee was nominated at the sixth MTV Africa Music Awards in the Listener’s Choice category. In 2017, Kaybee received a nomination in the inaugural DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards in the Song of the Year category. The following year, Kaybee was a nominee at the 24th South African Music Awards (SAMAs), in the Male Artist of the Year, Best Dance Album, Best Produced Album, and Record of the Year categories.
Lucky, Kaybee won and was awarded in the Male Artist of the Year category. Kaybee was the guest judge on the Season 1 finale of the SABC1 music reality competition series The Remix SA, which was aired on 21 September 2018.
