Moise Aké was a youth academy manager for VV Wilhelmus football academy. He is the father of Nathan Aké, a Dutch professional footballer who plays for the Premier League club Manchester City and the Netherlands national team. Aké joined Alles Door Oefening Den Haag as a young boy before moving to Feyenoord in 2011. A year later he moved to the United Kingdom and joined the London-based club Chelsea aged 15. In 2015 he moved to Reading FC on loan and during the 2015–2016 Premier League season he was loaned to Watford. Aké was later loaned to AFC Bournemouth before singing with them on June 30, 2017.

He made 105 appearances for AFC Bournemouth before completing his move to Manchester City on August 5, 2020. On September 21, 2021, he made his Premier League debut for Manchester City in a 3–1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. On September 27, 2020, Aké scored his first goal for Manchester City, however, they lost 2–5 at home to Leicester City. He made his Champions League debut for Manchester City in a 3–0 home win over Olympiacos on November 3, 2020. On September 15, 2021, he score his first Champions League goal for Manchester City in a 6-3 home victory over RB Leipzig.
