Matt Jones is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has two victories on the PGA Tour; the Shell Houston Open in April 2014 and The Honda Classic in March 2021. The Australian golfer has also won the Emirates Australian Open twice, in 2015 and 2019.

Matt played college at Arizona State University for three seasons from 1998-2001. He was an honorable mention All-American in 1999-2000 and a first-team pick in 2001. He shot a record-matching 62 in the first round of the 41st annual Porter Cup on July 21, 1999, at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y. The golfer was part of ASU’s Pac-10 title team two years and also competed in three NCAA Championships.

He turned professional in 2001. He joined the Nationwide Tour in 2004. In 2007, he finished 7th on the money list and qualified to play his rookie season on the PGA Tour in 2008.
