Lvndr is the stage name for Lindsey Garcia, a singer-songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. She is a contestant on the 24th season of The Voice.
Lvndr started performing seriously a few years ago, learning to play guitar alone in her bedroom with YouTube tutorials. She never told anyone she wanted to sing or that she had been honing her craft.
She classifies herself as an indie singer-songwriter whose inspirations growing up included Amy Winehouse, Jason Mraz, and “Anything Motown.”
In 2019 and again in 2021, she won the WTOV “Idol Sweepstakes in Grand Rapids. That meant she got a first-in-line ticket for an American Idol audition in front of the celebrity judges.
At the time, Lindsey told WTOV that she had been singing as long as she could remember, but was a “closet singer” until age 16.
Lvndr has posted videos of impressive originals with the help of Dogtown Studios in Grand Rapids and the loop pedal she has learned to use over the past 2 years.
Lvndr has also been working on a debut LVNDR EP that she hopes to release sometime in 2023. As for her national TV appearance, she wrote: “From doing random open mics to getting a blind audition on The Frickin VOICE. What is life lol?”

The Tennessee native is a contestant in season 24 of The Voice. She took part in The Voice blind auditions singing her own rendition of “Hotline Bling” by Drake. The Tennessee native received a 2 chair turn from coaches Niall and John Legend.
“I do have a unique style to what I do. I just hope I’m what they’re looking for,” Lvndr said just before taking the stage during the episode.”
Niall Horan turned first, with Legend trailing just behind. “Oh my god, that was perfection,” Legend said.
“That was something special. I was thinking, ‘Do I let her finish the first sentence before I press the button or what?’ because I just love character and you’ve got it in abundance,” Horan said.
Horan continued, “Those voices that when you’re facing away, and you get goosebumps, and your ears perk up. Because we’re literally just over there staring at the wall and hoping that someone comes and catches our attention, and you absolutely did that. That was stunning, I would absolutely love to have you on my team.
The singer joined Team Niall ultimately.
Later on Instagram, Lvndr wrote that she was “overwhelmed” by the support she received following the episode.
“I can’t respond to everything tonight as I’m trying to take this moment in, but just know how grateful I am for every one of you. You helped me get the courage to do something like this,” she wrote, adding, “I’m truly in de-Niall right now.”
