Layla changed tactics and went to authorities in New York city to report that Drake had raped her during their meeting in a Manchester hotel. Through a new lawyer, Layla demanded money failure to which she would make the alleged rape public. The case was handed over to the Manchester police who interrogated Drake and cleared him.
