Katie Albright (born Katherine Medill Albright) is an attorney and Chief Executive Officer of Safe & Sound, formerly the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center. She joined Safe & Sound in 2007. Her prior experiences include SF Deputy City Attorney representing our public schools; SF Education Fund Policy Director leading a campaign to improve teacher quality and increase student retention; and, Preschool California Co-Director of Policy & Outreach campaigning statewide for universal preschool.
Prior to serving as an associate at Latham & Watkins and clerking for the US District Court in Maryland, she co-founded and taught in the Kayole-Gitau Nursery School & Community Center in Nairobi, Kenya.
Katie actively serves on local and national, non-profit and government boards and commissions. She received an Ascend Fellowship from The Aspen Institute and Social Entrepreneurship Fellowship at Stanford University. Katie graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center and Williams College.

She was surrounded by family and friends. We have lost a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend,” the family of Madeleine K. Albright said in a statement.
Madeleine Albright, bom Marie Jana Korbelova, was a native of Prague who came to the United States as a refugee in 1948 and rose to the heights of American policy-m.ng, receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012, the nation, highest civilian honor. A tireless champion of democracy and human rights, she was at the time of her death a professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, chair of Albright Stonebridge Group, pan of Dentons Global Advisors, chair of Albright Capital Management, president of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation, chair of thc National Democratic Institute, chair of the U.S. Defense Policy Board, and an author. She founded the Albright Institute for Global Affairs at Wellesley College, served as a lifetime tmstee of The Aspen Institute. and was a member of the chapter of the Washington National Cathedral.
