Jonas Neubauer was an American professional Tetris player. He was the 7-time winner of the Classic Tetris World Championship, winning in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017. The championship contacted Neubauer after he posted a video of himself playing Tetris on YouTube where he earned a “max out” score of 999,999, according to a 2019 interview with Shacknews.

Neubauer had been playing Tetris since he was 9. He bought the game with his own allowance money. He told Shacknews that his first competitive experience with Tetris was when he played against his father. He told Rolling Stone that he first played the game on his uncle Bill’s ’85 Macintosh computer.
