Joanna Teplin is the Co-Founder of The Home Edit. She co-founded The Home Edit with Clea Shearer in 2015, four hours after meeting in Nashville. They grew the business solely through social media, attracting the interests of A-list names such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Mandy Moore, Christina Applegate and Thomas Rhett. According to The Home Edit’s website, “The Home Edit organizes every space in the home, from bedrooms and kitchens, to closets and pantries. Every project receives meticulous attention to detail, carefully considered systems, and our signature stylized aesthetic.”

Joanna Teplin and Clea Shearer host Netflix’s home improvement series Get Organized With The Home Edit. The Netflix series follows the business partnership of Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin as they edit and organize the homes of celebrities and civilians with color-coding, acrylic storage, and handwritten labels.

Get Organized With The Home Edit is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. Witherspoon previously worked with Clea and Joanna to produce a similar show in 2018 called Master the Mess. The series only lasted one season.

Teplin graduated in 2001 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in film. After graduating, she moved to San Francisco. Her love of cards, stationery and invitations blossomed when she began working at and managing San Francisco’s famous Union Street Papery.
