Janelle Wang is an American journalist and News anchor. She anchors the NBC Bay Area News weeknights at 5 p.m. with co-anchor Raj Mathai. Wang also reports for NBC Bay Area News at 6 p.m. She also anchors, produces, and edits hourly cut-ins in the afternoon and handles all breaking news and virtual interviews. Since joining NBC Bay Area, she has been awarded 3 Emmys for her live, anchor coverage of breaking news, including the Wine Country Fires and the Ghost Ship Warehouse fire. Janelle has as well-traveled to Sochi, Russia to cover the Winter Olympics and Kansas City to cover the San Francisco Giants World Series victory.
Before she joined NBC Bay Area News, Janelle worked at KGO-TV ABC7 as a reporter and weekend morning anchor. She spent more than 8 years at KGO-TV ABC7 in San Francisco.
