Henry Ruggs III is an American football wide receiver. He was a three-sport athlete at Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, Alabama and played college football at Alabama. In three years at Alabama, Ruggs recorded 1,716 yards, 24 touchdowns and averaged 17.5 yards per catch on 98 receptions. He was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the first round, No. 12 overall, of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Ruggs and his passenger, Kiara Je’nai Kilgo-Washington, with whom he has a young daughter, were hospitalized with “serious” injuries that police said did not appear life-threatening. The Toyota burst into flames and the driver and her dog died, police said.
