Henry Nicholls Biography – Henry Nicholls Wiki

Henry Nicholls is an antiques dealer, TV presenter, jewellery and antiques expert on ITV’s Dickinson’s Real Deal. He is the owner of Henry Nicholls & Son Antiques located in Chichester, West Sussex. He has appeared in a number of TV antique shows from Trash to Cash and ITV’s Secret Dealers to Dickinson’s Real Deal.

Henry began dealing in antiques when he was eight years old, rummaging through the clutter at his grandmothers’ house and then selling anything that caught his eye.

In the 1970s he graduated to school fetes , which were a great way for the parents and grandparents to get rid of their old junk. At school fetes he hunted for anything he liked the look of.

He then had a spell as a grocer’s boy. He would get paid to deliver groceries to the elderly and occasionally come away with old bits and bobs they no longer wanted.

At age 15, Henry was introduced to the world of house clearances by a chap he met through hisinterest in antiques. “I couldn’t believe how much hard work they were, but I loved the sense of adventure.”

Next, a succession of stalls in Antiques Centres followed, as did some rather more unusual career choices, followed by the eventual realisation that his true vocation was in the world of antiques and the people who buy and sell them. He opened up a shop in Worthing, dealing in antiques.

According to his Linkedin profile, Henry is an “established Antiques Dealer and have a family run business of over 25 years in Worthing, West Sussex. I am looking to offer my services to private individuals who are wanting to de-clutter or downsize and part with treasured heirlooms or items that no longer serve a useful purpose. My expertise is very broad, covering furniture and porcelain to my passions which are Jewellery, Silver and Watches of any kind.

Nicholls offers “free valuations without obligation to sell and for those of you who watch TV, you can see me on ITV’s DICKINSON’S REAL DEAL, of which I am very proud to be a part of for the last 12 years. I am able to value items for Probate and Insurance and offer advice for the disposal of Estate Chattels. I will travel Countrywide to view and value items. Just remember, don’t get rid of it until I’ve had a look at it!”
