Hannah Price Daughtry is the stepdaughter of Chris Daughtry, an American singer-songwriter. In November 2021, Hannah was found dead inside her Tennessee home after years of personal issues, including the suicide of her biological father in March 2018, being shot in the face during an apparent gang attack in October 2018, and an arrest in a road rage incident in April 2021.

On October 12, 2018, Hannah Daughtry and a roommate were apparently caught up in a run-in with gang members in Humboldt Tennessee. Hannah was shot in the face, underwent surgery and had to be fitted with a prosthetic eye, according to her social media.
The 2018 shooting incident involved a 15-year-old who was trying to join the Crips. Hannah wrote on Facebook that she was forced to intervene when her roommate took her somewhere frequented by gang members, who apparently tried to kill him.
Hannah wrote on Facebook that she “noticed they didn’t have the gun cocked so by the time I noticed they were trying to shoot at him I was trying to run the kid over with my car and I ended up getting shot in the face. I was blind for a little over two weeks and this happened directly after my dad had committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. It was a lot.”
She launched a GoFundMe campaign on Oct. 19, 2018, showing a grisly photo of her injured face. The campaign was halted before more than $945 worth of donations came through.
Hannah explained what happened on her Facebook page. She wrote: “Hi I am Hannah Price and I am raising money for my medical bills. I was airlifted after being shot in Humboldt TN Oct 12 2018 and had emergency surgery. I’m also raising money to pay for my next surgery. I do have insurance so it covers most of it but I have an out-of-pocket pay about $120. I totaled my car whenever I was shot trying to save my friend so I also need to save money to get a new vehicle so that I can start working again.”
Humboldt police said in 2018 that they had arrested a 15-year-old on charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault with serious bodily injuries, and possession of a handgun during a dangerous felony, according to the report.

Chris Daughtry’s stepdaughter Hannah Price Daughtry was found dead inside her home in Nashville, Tennessee on November 12, 2021 by local Tennessee police, according to People. She was apparently injured before she was found dead. Her mother Deanna Daughtry confirmed her death on Instagram.
“My first born. I love you endlessly Hannah,” Deanna Daughtry wrote. “Our family would like to thank you all for the outpouring of love as we grieve the loss of our daughter Hannah. We are awaiting the autopsy results to determine how Hannah sustained the injuries that caused her death. Our hearts are broken.”
Singer Chris Daughtry postponed his concert tour to fly home to Nashville to be with his family. “Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed,” the band said in a statement.
“The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time,” the statement continued. “Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing.”
Chris Daughtry posted a heartfelt message on social media after the death of his daughter. “I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken, the singer wrote. “I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately.”
“We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family,” he continued. “Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply.”
Hannah Daughtry Cause of Death
It’s unclear what caused the death of Hannah Daughtry. The Knoxville Medical Examiners Office is still investigating her death. On November 13, 2021, TMZ reported that detectives told the Daughtry family Hannah’s death was a homicide. Hannah Daughtry’s boyfriend, Bobby Jolly, was arrested on November 12, 2021. The reason for his arrest is still unclear. Police have not revealed if he is a person of interest or suspect in Hannah’s death.
