“It is with tremendous sadness we write to inform you that our longtime FOX News Media family member and colleague Eric Spinato passed away suddenly over the weekend.

“Eric was instrumental in the growth and entrepreneurial success of both FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network and his contributions were immeasurable.

“Starting with us in 1998 on the FOX Files team, Eric went on to become a senior producer/head booker for FNC before briefly leaving the network in 2004 to lend his many talents to CNN and later MSNBC. He returned to the FOX family in 2007, where he helped launch FOX Business Network and most recently, thrived there as Senior Head Booker and Story Editor.

“Eric was an immensely gifted and aggressive booker and was renowned for booking the innumerable “gets° we’ve seen on both FNC and FBN over the years. He was also always willing to lend a hand to help a colleague, mentor junior staffers or troubleshoot an issue —countless bookers throughout the industry learned the ropes and the tools of the trade from Eric at one point or another in their careers.

“Many of us can probably recall the cheerful greetings and outreach we received from Eric over his many years here. His excitement, positivity and energetic team spirit were one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Eric’s entire family, including his two sons and his girlfriend. We will circulate information on the funeral arrangements and offerings for condolences in the coming days.
