Emmy Palmer is a Plymouth-based artist who makes her blown glass work through Teign Valley Glass studios in Bovey Tracey. In January 2023 Emmy featured in Episode 6 “Make It to Market”, a BBC1 series featuring some of the country’s most promising artists and makers.
She graduated from the Arts University Plymouth (Formally the Plymouth College of Art and Design) in 2007 with a BA (Hons) in Applied Arts specializing in hot glass.
She is passionate about knitting and glass and loves to find new ways of combining the two. This technique led to her distinct style, exemplified in her elegant ‘Del Mar’ series, which evolved from simple beginnings to sophisticated creations.
She combines her passion for knitting and glass-blowing to create original, feminine-blown glass pieces. Emmy and her family live a holiday-like lifestyle in the South West so there is a real evident seaside inspiration in her work.
She retails her glasswork through my website, fairs, galleries, and exhibitions. She also takes on commissions and wholesale orders.

Emmy Palmer is a budding entrepreneur who appears on the first series of BBC 1’s Make it at Market. The show is hosted by The Repair Shop’s Dominic Chinea.
