Emma Talley is an American professional golfer. She is currently competing on the LPGA Tour and previously played on the Symetra Tour. Talley started playing golf at the age of 10 years old. She was raised in Princeton, Kentucky, and graduated from Caldwell County High School in Princeton, Kentucky, United States. While there she was a three-time Kentucky state girls golf champion, in 2008, 2010, and 2011. As an amateur, Talley was on the victorious U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team in 2008.
Talley went on to join the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she played collegiate golf for four years. While there, Talley won the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship at The Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida, by one stroke over Mexican Maria Gabriela López Butron of Arkansas and Irish Leona Maguire of Duke University. As a junior, Talley won the Honda Sports Award for golf. She was also a four-time All-American performer at the University of Alabama. She majored in communications.
Talley turned professional in 2016 and played on the Symetra Tour in 2016. She played in 14 tournaments and recorded three top-10 finishes, including a runner-up finish in the Fuccillo Kia Championship. In 2017, she finished 9th on the Symetra Tour money list to earn LPGA membership for the 2018 season. In 2018 her rookie year on the LPGA Tour, she played in 27 events and made 21 cuts, she also earned four top-10 finishes including a season-best tie for third at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic. Talley played 23 events on the LPGA Tour and made 11 cuts in 2019, and earned LPGA Tour status for 2020 after tying 6th in the 2019 LPGA Q-Series. When she is not on the golf course, she enjoys snowboarding.
