Dave Short is a potter specialising in original tiles, hand-built and wheel-thrown pieces. He is a contestant on The Great Pottery Throw Down 2024. The Great Pottery Throw Down contestant is the owner of Dave Short Pottery, a studio offering basic pottery firing service for bisque, earthenware, stoneware and porcelain.

Dave first touched clay at school and, after a 40-year hiatus, he bought himself a broken potter’s wheel as a repair job. It brought back such fond memories he now has his own studio in his garden shed.
