Caroline Campbell is a 23-year-old recruiter from Nashville, Tennessee. She was a contestant on Fox’s “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer,” a dating reality show. Campbell was sent home during the show’s premiere due to a conflict of interest. As two bachelors introduced themselves to the women, Steven McBee recognized Campbell. The pair matched on a dating app, Hinge, and follow each other on social media – which gave her intel that he was the “wealthy” bachelor. The show’s production halted as producers were notified – all while being filmed – and Campbell was immediately sent home.
“My whole goal in coming here was to find love in its truest form and meeting women that don’t know anything about me whatsoever,” McBee said to Campbell. “Not a single thing. As unfortunate as it is, I can’t do that with you knowing who I am. So I’m going to have to send you home. I’m so sorry. It’s nothing against you.”
