Bruce Fleisher was an American professional golfer and a former golf coach. Fleisher formerly played on the PGA Tour and on the Champions Tour. He was born in Union City, Tennessee, and begun playing golf at age 7. As an amateur, Fleisher won the U.S. Amateur in 1968 at the age of 19 becoming the third-youngest player to win it. The following year, Fleisher was the low amateur at the 1969 Masters Tournament. He made several U.S. national team appearances as an amateur including; the Eisenhower Trophy 1968 (winners) and the 1969 Walker Cup (winners).
Fleisher turned professional in 1969. He won both individual and team gold medals in golf at the 1969 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He spent most of his regular career as a club professional, and in 1989 Fleisher won the PGA Club Professional Championship. Fleisher recorded one PGA Tour career victory at the 1991 New England Classic. Fleisher enjoyed a tremendous and successful career on the Champions Tour (currently the PGA Tour Champions). He recorded 18 wins, including one senior major, the 2001 U.S. Senior Open.
In February 1999, Fleisher won two consecutive Champions Tour events at the Royal Caribbean Classic and the American Express Invitational. He became the first player ever to win back-to-back in his first two Champions Tour events. His spectacular performance earned him the Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards in 1999. On May 14, 2000, he earned his only win on the European Senior Tour at the AIB Irish Seniors Open.
Fleisher served as head coach for the USA Open Golf Team at the 1989 Maccabiah Games and the 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel. Fleisher was part of the winning U.S. national team at the PGA Cup in 1990. He attended the Miami-Dade Junior College and Furman University.
