Bradon Long is an American chief meteorologist currently working as weekday meteorologist and morning news anchor for FOX43. He became chief meteorologist at FOX43 in November 2020. While at FOX43, he came up with (created) the “Center Stage” segment for local community theatres, told education stories of the host schools during High School Football Frenzy, covered the earliest effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the area. He also anchored the news in addition to forecasting the weather, before being promoted to Chief Meteorologist in November 2020.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2016 with a degree in journalism, meteorology and international studies. While he was still taking classes, he worked as a meteorologist for television stations in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. He chased numerous tornadoes and severe storms in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas before moving to Central Pennsylvania in August of 2016 as Weekend Meteorologist.
From tornadoes and hail, to snow and ice and even hurricanes,he has has forecast it all and is happy to call Central Pennsylvania his home. In his off time, he enjoys visiting a local vineyard, cheering on his University of Oklahoma Sooners, playing golf and reading a good Agatha Christie mystery.
