Ben Irurzun, born Benat Irurzun, is an interior designer, artist and contestant on series 5 of Interior Design Masters on BBC One. A Victorian maximalist, Ben is passionate about fashion, interiors, costumes and antiques.
“I’ve always been obsessed with interior design and specifically with the aesthetics and beauty of bygone eras,” he said. “I love immersing in pure 19th-century regalia and decor every day.”
Originally from San Sebastian in the Basque Country, Spain, Ben moved to the UK to study fashion design at the University of the Arts London. He has always been an Anglophile at heart and a great supporter of traditional British design.
