Ashleigh Buhai (maiden name Ashleigh Simon) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She started playing golf at the age of 6 years old. She had a very successful amateur career. As an amateur, she was the youngest player to win the ladies’ South African Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play double and the first player in 101 years to win the Ladies South African Open title three times. She also represented South Africa in the main professional Women’s World Cup of Golf three times while still an amateur.

Buhai turned professional in May 2007 just a day after turning eighteen years. She won the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters, which was her third event as a professional. She tied for 18th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status for the 2008 LPGA season. Buhai became the youngest ever professional winner on the Ladies European Tour. She has won three times on the Ladies European Tour wins, winning the 2007 Catalonia Ladies Masters, the 2011 ISPS Handa Portugal Ladies Open, and the 2018 Investec South African Women’s Open.
