Anthony Salvanto is an American journalist and author. He serves as the Director of Elections and Surveys at CBS News. He keeps an eye on all polling across the nation, states, and congressional races, and heads the CBS News Decision Desk that estimates outcomes on election nights. Salvanto joined the CBS News team in 2002 as a manager of surveys. He has been with CBS News for almost two decades. Salvanto is based in New York, United States.
During his tenure at the CBS News, Salvanto has covered major election stories including the 2016 election with regular state polling with the Battleground Tracker surveys, the most comprehensive look at the state by state races that CBS News had done to that point.
