Annie Jorgensen is a 25-year-old digital creative strategist from New York City, New York. Originally from Mequon, Wisconsin, Jorgensen is one of the 18 contestants on FOX’s reality dating competition “Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer,” in which the 18 competitors will date two men in hopes of finding a love connection.

Jorgensen competed for the title of Miss America 2019 after she won the Miss Georgia 2018 title. At the Miss America competition, her talent was a jazz dance to a cover of Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” from the TV show “Smash.” She was the first Miss Georgia to compete since the “Miss America 2.0” changes were implemented, eliminating swimsuit and adding more public speaking elements to the competition.

Jorgensen has been competing in pageants since age 13. Her first state title was Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2011, competing at Miss America’s Outstanding Teen that year. That pageant is considered the “little sister” to Miss America; Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen are held during the same week and run by the same organization. Jorgensen also won the title of Miss High School America 2013.

She is a graduate of The University of Georgia Honors Program who earned a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and minored in communication studies.

She developed the #IGotThis program and workbook to encourage people to find their confidence through building relationships, serving others, loving to learn, and setting goals. She’s partnered with the Girl Scouts of America and created a patch program where all 1.8 million scouts nationwide can earn their confidence patch while they determine what makes them feel confident.

Through her work with #IGotThis, Jorgensen has earned a finalist spot for the Quality of Life award at Miss America. The award recognizes the contestants who have done significant service work related to their platform. The winner and two runners-up receive special scholarships, according to AJC.
