He revealed the news on Instagram, writing: “I am a Contestant on this year’s season of The Great Australian Bake Off @bakeoffau alongside many other extremely talented and diverse bakers of all walks of life, who I am forever grateful to for their continuous sharing and caring of Baking Skills, friendship and time together! This has been a big life changing experience and I’m proud to be able to share a small part of our culture and food with the world from my passions to yours.”
Judged by global culinary icon Rachel Khoo and Australia’s King of Pastry, chef Darren Purchese, and hosted by comedians Natalie Tran and the late Cal Wilson, season seven of The Great Australian Bake Off sees 12 diverse amateur baking enthusiasts put through a series of challenges.
Each episode contains three themed baking challenges – Signature, Technical, and Showstopper. At the end of each episode, one contestant is named Star Baker and one is eliminated, until one is ultimately crowned Australia’s Best Amateur Baker.

Jaden was recently “diagnosed with rheumatic heart disease, fatty liver and was dealing with an unknown auto immune condition genuinely creating a bit of rough terrain for me in all areas of my life, food being the number one.” He added: “During this time I wasn’t able to continue to study or work, i became allergic to so many wild foods i liked to forage.”
