Xiaxue Biography – Xiaxue Wiki
Cheng Yan Yan Wendy born Cheng Yan Yan and popularly known as Xiaxue, is a Singaporean blogger and online television personality.
She studied at River Valley High School and graduated from Singapore Polytechnic with a Media & Communications diploma. Afterwards, she worked for a short while as a project coordinator.
She has an online TV series Xiaxue’s Guide To Life produced by Clicknetwork and a baby clothing line, BabyStyleIcon! She is also a stakeholder in Nuffnang.
She has worked as a columnist for national newspapers TODAY and The New Paper, Maxim magazine and Snag magazine. She has served as an editor for blog aggregator Tomorrow.sg, a Star Blogger for the STOMP portal and a presenter at the 2005 Singapore Writer’s Festival.
She has ten blogs among them her untitled main blog, geeky blog, her media centre and several private blogs. Her main blog has won several awards including the 2004 and 2005 Wizbang Weblog Awards Best Asian Blog and the 2005 Bloggies Best Asian Weblog. Her main blog is the first from Singapore to enter the Technorati Global Top 100 Blogs List. It was selected for the National Library Board archive in 2008.
Wendy Cheng has a heated rivalry with blogger Dawn Yang, who threatened to sue her for an allegedly defamatory post in June 2008.
