Vijaya Gadde is an Indian-born American attorney and legal expert. She served as the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Twitter, Inc., leading its legal, public policy, trust and safety teams worldwide. Gadde joined Twitter in 2011. She served as Chief Legal Officer since February 2018 and as Secretary since August 2013. Previously, Gadde served as General Counsel from August 2013 to February 2018, as Head of Communications from July 2015 to August 2016 and as Director, Legal from July 2011 to August 2013.

In October 2022, Elon Musk reportedly fired the legal head from Twitter shortly after the Tesla CEO finalised the $44-billion acquisition of the influential social media platform.

Prior to joining Twitter, Gadde served as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel, Corporate at Juniper Networks, Inc. from October 2010 to July 2011 and was an attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati from October 2000 to April 2010.
