Shabrika Bailey is the girlfriend of Trevone Boykin. Boykin was sentenced to 3 years in prison after pleading guilty on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, to charges of aggravated assault and witness tampering from the March 2018 beating of his girlfriend. Trevone Boykin’s girlfriend, Shabrika Bailey, said he broke her jaw in two places. The Seahawks cut Boykin following the allegation. According to Boykin’s attorney, his client will be eligible for parole within a year.
Boykin has been in the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, Texas, since December 2019 after he ducked paying for a hotel room in nearby Arlington.
Boykin has been in trouble with the law since 2015. He was involved in a barroom brawl in San Antonio just 2 days before TCU was to meet the Oregon Ducks in the Alamo Bowl on Jan. 2, 2016. He was suspended for the game, then pleaded no contest to a count of resisting arrest and got a year’s deferred adjudication probation in June 2016.
In March 2017, he was arrested on charges of public intoxication and misdemeanor marijuana possession after a car in which he was a passenger struck a tavern, hitting seven people on the sidewalk.
