Sophia Popov is a German professional golfer. She is a former player for the University of Southern California and the German National Team. She was an accomplished amateur tennis player and swimmer in Germany before deciding to focus on golf.
She attended European School Karlsruhe. She represented Germany at the Junior Solheim Cup in 2009 as well as at the 2009 European Girls’ Team Championships. In 2016, she qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open at CordeValle, where she finished last of those making the cut, and in 2018 she played in the Women’s PGA Championship at Kemper Lakes, finishing tied for 57th place.
