Skye, real name Nicholas Duquemin, is a singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Australia and a contestant on The Voice Australia 2024. He previously competed on The Voice Australia in 2015 at the age of 17.

According to Pilerats, SKŸE has been singing since he was 12 and writing since he was 17. He first got into music from Disney Channel classics like High School Musical and Camp Rock, as well as the classic So Fresh CD’s. He then found Christina Aguilera and became obsessed with vocalists. Although he is largely self taught, he had some vocal training growing up.

Drawn to the voices of renowned heavyweights such as Adele and H.E.R., he started putting out music independently and doing the odd show around his hometown, before being encouraged to join art and culture college Collarts.

In 2024, he released an EP titled “All of the Things I Never Said”. The EP contained the songs “Body”, “Unlovable”, “Crossfire”, and “Until Its Gone”. His other songs include “Fix You”, “Better”, and “Love Like That”.

He received four chair turns for his blind audition with a beautiful rendition of Billie Eilish’s What Was I Made For? and advanced to the knockout phase of the singing competition. He sang with James Vass and covered The Climb by Miley Cyrus. Skye then moved to the showdown and was pushed through to the semi-finals following a cover of Anyone by Justin Bieber.

He received two chair turns in 2015 by auditioning with Beyonce’s song XO and earned a fast pass to skip the next round of the competition. He decided to join Delta Goodrem’s team over Benji Madden’s, but was eliminated shortly afterwards in the first live competition round following a performance of King by Years and Years. Notably, now-coach Adam Lambert featured on the episode where Nicholas was eliminated to deliver a guest performance.
