Simon O’Brien is a British television actor, radio presenter and property developer. He is best known for presenting Channel 4’s award-winning programme Find it, Fix it, Flog and The Great House Giveaway. He is also popular for his role as Damon Grant in the Channel 4 soap, Brookside, and as Frank Bardsley in the British soap Coronation Street.

Born and brought up in Liverpool, Simon began acting in 1982 in the first episode of Brookside. For the last thirty years, he has successfully combined dual careers of acting and presenting.

He has presented Lost and Found (Channel 4), Find It, Fix It, Flog It (Channel 4), Sealed Bid (Channel 4), The Renovation Game (Channel 4), Premier League All Stars (Sky One), Standing Room Only (BBC 2), What Are You Like? (BBC 2), Rough Guide to the World (BBC 2), Planet Football (Channel 4), Inside Football (Channel Five), House Trapped (Channel 4), To Buy or Not to Buy (BBC 1) and The Great House Giveaway (Channel 4). He has also been a Presenter and writer on Channel 4’s Up Your Street.

As a radio presenter, Simon presented the Early Morning Show for BBC Radio Merseyside alongside Lucinda Moore. His other credits comprise of specialist reporting for BBC’s Inside Out, along with guesting on many sports shows due to his passion for Football.

Most recently, Simon has fronted The Great House Giveaway alongside Tayo Oguntonade and Carys Davies, giving young people opportunities to pursue their dreams of renovating houses. The show is a co-production between S4C and Channel 4 and won the first-ever BAFTA award for Daytime in 2021.
