Sibongile Winifred Dlamini is well known as the first wife to the late Zulu monarch King Godwill Zwelithini. Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini married Queen Sibongile as his first wife in 1968. King Zwelithini died on 12 March 2021, after reportedly being admitted to the hospital for diabetes-related illness. During preparations for his funeral, it was announced by the king’s traditional prime minister, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, that King Zwelithini had died of COVID-19 complications.

She was married to her husband King Goodwill Zwelithini. Her husband was the reigning King of the Zulu nation from 1968 to his death.
