Curran was sent to the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania, which is dedicated to students from “income-eligible families,” at the age of 13 by her parents, who divorced when she was just 4 and had struggled to support her. Reunited with her mother two years later, Curran worked to provide for herself, taking jobs at an ice cream shop, as well as modeling.
