Curran was sent to the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania, which is dedicated to students from “income-eligible families,” at the age of 13 by her parents, who divorced when she was just 4 and had struggled to support her. Reunited with her mother two years later, Curran worked to provide for herself, taking jobs at an ice cream shop, as well as modeling. She received a full scholarship to George Washington University, courtesy of an unknown benefactor. She worked as a teacher and later for the luxury goods company LVMH.

She was in tears. Said she had been getting death threats on social media all night this morning she disabled her IG account just to make it stop.”
