Lynn Hartman is Las Vegas legal secretary and Steven Avery’s Ex-Fiancee.
Avery was sentenced to life in prison after he was convicted of homicide back in 2005 for the killing of photographer Teresa Halbach.
His nephew Brendan Dassey confessed that he helped to rape and murder Halbach at the family’s yard.
Dassey’s conviction was overturned in 2016 by a judge after it was ruled that the detectives involved in the case took advantage of the then 16-year-old and his cognitive disabilities.
Avery and Dassey are the subject of the Netflix documentary series Making A Murder. Making A Murderer gained critical acclaim and was given several Emmy Awards, among other accolades.
He was previously married to Lori Dassey from 1982 to 1988. The pair share four children. Avery was also previously engaged to Jodi Stachowski while behind bars.
