Louis Zorich was an American actor and musician. He was well known for Fiddler on the Roof (1971), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), and Detachment (2011). His first major film role was the Russian Constable in Fiddler on the Roof (1971). Zorich was featured in Popi and For Pete’s Sake and played Pete in The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984). He played Ben In Death of a Salesman (1985).

Zorich earned his dramatic training at the Goodman School of Drama, at the Art Institute of Chicago (now at DePaul University) in Chicago. He made his stage career debut in Canada. During World War II, Zorich served in the U.S. Army.
