Lafayette Dorsey Jr. was a college basketball player with Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He was a former All-City guard at Susan Miller Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, California.
As a high school senior for Dorsey High School in 2016, Dorsey helped lead the Dons to a 24-9 overall record and a Coliseum League title. He was named league MVP, First-Team All-City and CIF All-State. He averaged 21 points, five assists and six rebounds per contest, according to his bio on the Pacific Tigers website.
Following his high school career, he attended OnPoint Hoops Academy, a prep school in Oklahoma City, for a year before enrolling at Pacific, where he played for two seasons. He averaged 10.7 points in 2018-19. He transferred to Nicholls State University, where he redshirted last season.

A spokesperson of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office said in the following statement to Heavy: “Lafayette Dorsey Jr. was found dead on 8/6/2020 at 07:07 hours at a residence located in the 3700 block of Grayburn Avenue in Los Angeles.”
