Katherine Kirk is an Australian professional golfer. She currently playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) Tour. She started playing golf at age 12 years old. Katherine attended and played collegiate golf at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. While there she was an All-American in 2002-2003, NCAA Player of the Year in 2003, and later inducted into the NGCA Hall of Fame. Katherine recorded a total of eight collegiate event wins before she graduated and turned pro immediately graduating. She graduated in 2003 with a degree in Sports Administration.
She turned professional in 2003 and played on the Duramed Futures Tour. Katherine earned victory on her first two events as a professional, winning the Aurora Health Care FUTURES Charity Golf Classic on 1 June 2003, and the Lima Memorial Hospital Foundation FUTURES Classic on 8 June 2003. In 2003, she finished tied for 42nd at the final LPGA Qualifying Tournament to earn non-exempt status on the LPGA Tour for 2004.
In 2006, she won two events on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour (ALPG), and also earned full playing privileges on the LGPA Tour for 2007 after returning to the LPGA Qualifying Tour. On 17 August 2008, Katherine earned her first victory on the LPGA Tour at the Canadian Women’s Open. She won the ANZ Ladies Masters, a tournament co-sanctioned by the ALPG, and the Ladies European Tour on 8 February 2009. On 10 October 2010, she won at the Navistar LPGA Classic and on 9 July 2017, she won the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic.
